Alta P1 - 1RU Tube Preamp
Inspired by Jim Root, we are thrilled to reveal the Alta P1. A complete direct to DAW, FOH or FRFR solution, no other outboard gear required
3 channel all tube pre, with MIDI for channel selection along with Vintage/Modern and Compression options
Ch1 is a Fender style clean, Ch2 and Ch3 are lifted verbatim from the Alta100 and will deliver crunch through to modern high gain tones
3 way bright switch for each of channels 1,2 & 3
Two notes Torpedo Embedded including EL34 Alta100 tube power amp simulation, DynIRs, EQ, Enhancer, Stereo Reverb, Twin Tracker and Noise Gate
Includes 5 x DynIR Headfirst cabinets covering V30s, G12M, Creamback 65s & Creamback 75s
USB and Bluetooth connectivity to Torpedo Remote software by Two Notes
Stereo XLR outputs (with ground lift switch), for direct to DAW, FOH or FRFR
Pre Two Notes (mono) & Post Two Notes (stereo) FX Loops. Both selectable between Line and Instrument level. Plugging into the return of the Pre Loop gives you direct access to the Two Notes back end, for use with other preamp devices, or re-amping etc. The stereo post loop allows you to fully preserve the stereo output from the Torpedo Embedded, adding in your stereo post effects prior to the XLR outs
Line level all analog Direct Out for driving an external power amp and guitar cab
Rear guitar input jack (front input overrides)
1/4″ TRS stereo headphone jack, delivers the same audio signal as the master XLR outputs
MIDI IN and MIDI THRU. MIDI IN socket is 8 pin which delivers 12vdc phantom power. Incoming MIDI signal are routed to both the analog preamp and the Torpedo Embedded.

Level control with LED clipping indicator sets the master output level for the stereo post loop, XLRs and headphones

Evil Joe
In 2023 we custom built legendary producer Joe Barresi a high gain 50W EL34 powered head. This one-off amp was fine tuned by Jason, together with Joe, in Joe’s studio in Pasadena CA. Now in 2024 we are stoked to make this special collaboration amplifier available as a standard production model in the Headfirst lineup.
The Evil Joe is a take no prisoners high gain amp with a modern tonality. The two channels are versatile enough to be configured as clean and gain, or set it up for two channels of pure gain and distortion. Evil and Darkness!
The footswitchable F.T.G. front end boost brings in an extra gain stage, delivering 4 tones accessible via a 2 button footswitch. #FTG
Alta 100 rev2
Updated for 2024, the rev2 Alta 100 is the flagship. With its DNA rooted in our favourite 70’s Black and Gold amp from England, the Alta delivers a range of classic, modded and modern tones through the decades in a MIDI controlled experience, making it the ultimate live or session head. Ch1 delivers plexi style tones from the 60’s and early 70’s. Ch2 takes us from the late 70’s, through the 80’s ‘brown sounds’, through to modern tones and Ch3 delivers massive gain.
Rev2 introduces the first circuit updates since the initial release. The amp has revised Bright 1 & 2 voicings that are more pronounced, more aggressive and can be set to make the amp even tighter. Additionally, Ch1 now responds to the vintage/modern mode switch, previously this function only worked for channels 2&3.
